Our Story

Numbers are rarely arbitrary, and 43 is no exception. This is the length of the North Coast Trail, where owners Ben and Shaun met whilst designing and clearing the rugged track that would become one of BC’s most challenging backpacking routes. While working on the trail, they realized they shared more than a tent pad, a Jetboil and a chainsaw. They shared a vision for a company specializing in backcountry building and operations, in the most remote, rugged and hard to access corners of BC.
Fast forward 15 years.
We are still no strangers to the wilderness and continue to work where you play. We have two offices on Vancouver Island and a growing team of over 20 dedicated staff. We’ve earned our reputation as a recognised industry leader in backcountry facility design and construction. The kicker? We compliment it with over a decade experience in practical park operations.
No project is too big and no detail is too small. We thrive in uncertain conditions, and have carved our niche by delivering reliable solutions that stand the test of time, even in the most adverse conditions.
