Vancouver Island Campground Assessments
The Challenge?
Conduct facility and danger tree assessment reports for nine different campgrounds spread across Vancouver Island.
The Crux?
Complete it in two weeks on a limited budget.
When Mosaic Forests approached us to consult on this project, they had very specific deliverables in mind. They needed our expertise to help them make important decisions for their business. Using our in-house assessment process, we conducted facility and danger tree assessments for their nine privately owned and operated campgrounds.
Over the span of two weeks, our team travelled around Vancouver Island to gather data and make assessments at each site. The information we gathered using GPS and iPads cumulated into a set of reports. These included GPS spatial data, inventories of assets, condition assessments, hazard assessments and management recommendations.
It was a lot of real estate to cover but our proven assessment program allowed us to work extremely efficiently. This meant a relatively low budget given the project scope.
